Linking your personal account

Linking your personal LastPass account to your work account is quick, easy, and secure:

  1. Log in to LastPass and access your Vault by doing either of the following:
    • While logged in to your LastPass Business account, click the LastPass icon in your web browser toolbar, then select Open My Vault.
    • Go to https://lastpass.com/?ac=1and log in with your LastPass Business email address and Master Password.
  2. Select Account Benefits in the left navigation.
  3. Click Link accounts.
  4. Enter your personal account Master Password (the same account that you activated), then click Link Account. A confirmation message indicates your personal and business accounts are now linked.
  5. Click Back to Account Benefits.

Your LastPass Families personal account is now linked to your company's LastPass Business account, and the "Account linking" status is set to Linked within the Account Benefits page.

On the off chance that your company does not offer Families as a Benefit, you can still link your existing personal account unless policies have been enforced that prohibits you from doing so following these steps:

  1. Log in to your work LastPass account.
  2. In the left-hand navigation, click the "Link Account" option.
  3. Enter the email address and master password for your personal LastPass account.
  4. Once saved, your accounts are now linked, and your personal account will appear as a folder in your work Vault.

If you need to migrate any items from your Business account to your personal account, you can do so by dragging and dropping the items to your personal Vault folders (unless this has been restricted by your administrator).

You can unlink your accounts at any time by performing the following steps:

Unlinking a Families as a Benefit Account:

  1. Log in to LastPass and access your Vault by doing either of the following:
    • While logged in to your LastPass Business account, click the LastPass icon in your web browser toolbar, then select Open My Vault.
    • Go to https://lastpass.com/?ac=1 and log in with your LastPass Business email address and Master Password.
  2. Select Account Benefits in the left navigation.
  3. In the "Account linking" section, click Unlink Account.
  4. Enter the Master Password for your LastPass Business account, then click Continue.
  5. Click Yes to confirm.

Unlinking a standard personal account: Click on your LastPass Extension, open your Vault, then from the left navigation select More Options, click Advanced, and Remove Linked Personal Account.
